Fraser Simpson


Mr. Simpson has been active in income tax consulting, residential and commercial real estate development since 1985.

Prior to founding the Tax Mechanic, has held several senior management positions, including Director of Land development for the prestige real estate investment company (John DiPoce Management) and was Controller of Communicorp Multi Media Inc.,(TSE-CUC ).

Mr. Simpson obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from York University, Toronto, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. He has also completed the Canadian Securities and Partners, Directors and Senior Officers courses.

Mr. Simpson has been involved in many tax shelters and strategies over the years including;
John DiPoce’s purchase of a 9-million-dollar tax shelter that included donating a Caribbean island to charity for an enhanced tax credit;

Vetting the purchase of the Ottawa Senators;

Amalgamating tax loss companies with Alpa Lumber, saving 10 million in tax.

Operating and selling 50 million dollar subdivisions in the GTA for JDP Management.
