Canadian cannabis media company HERB set to expand into NYC and LA

As the public view turns more favourable towards the cannabis industry in Canada, the Canadian cannabis media company HERB, closed $4.1 million in seed funding last week to expand their operations into the US and facilitate the production of more and better video content.  Known as a reliable technology platform intended to educate consumers, HERB’s success in obtaining this funding indicates that investors are finally seeing an increased value in the cannabis industry.

HERB was originally called The Stoner’s Cookbook, until CEO Matt Gray took it over in 2015, when he transformed it into a cannabis-focused digital media company and rebranded it HERB.  The investors, including Lerer Hippeau, Slow Ventures ,and Liquid 2 Ventures, all view HERB as filling a large and important void in the marketplace in a professional manner accessible to a broad and diverse audience.
